Hello all. Finished up this past week with my last week of student teaching. I have some photos of the students work.
Finally done and could not be happier. Less than two weeks until graduation!
Pre school kiddies did marble painting last week. And this week they used dot markers to make these spring pictures.
Third graders finished up their zoomed in scientific illustrations in oil pastels.
2nd graders learned about artist Wayne Theibaud and his dessert paintings. We made ice cream cones with chalk pastel and the class learned about value and light and shadow.
Kindergarten is starting a kite project. I got as far with them has having them sponge paint the clouds in the sky and decorate their kites. I won't be there for the constructing of the ribbons and gluing everything on.
Fourth grade is starting optical illusion projects. This one confuses the hell out of me. My co-op suggested that I start them on this. Too complicated for me haha. It gets tricky when you add in multiple shapes and colors.
And first graders started a mini tie dye t-shirt watercolor painting. We used a special kind of paper that has fabric like qualities and the colors blend together with each other. I went over the traditional color order of tie dye and the students had to follow that order.
They will cut the shirts out next week when they finish/ dry.
And the fifth grade class has started the long process of making actual tie dye shirts that my co-op has them do every year. They wear them for their spring music concert.
And that's that. That's a wrap. Glad it's over. It was a long semester.
As far as grad school and my life goes. Still a work in progress. I got accepted into MICA and SVA from their wait list. I decided I'm going to pass on grad school for now and see where life takes me. It was a hard decision but hopefully everything works out for the best.
Stay tuned for my next blogging adventure. I will be around :)
